A leading company in the Chemical industry is seeking a dynamic and experienced CEO/Managing Director to drive operational transformation, optimize plant performance, and lead the business through a critical growth phase. Role Summary:
The CEO/Managing Director will oversee all business operations, strategy, and financial performance while leading the company’s transformation efforts. The successful candidate will spearhead initiatives to increase plant operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategic Leadership:
o Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to optimize operational efficiency and achieve sustained growth.
o Oversee the expansion and commissioning of a new plant while ensuring high performance across existing facilities.
2. Operational Optimization:
o Implement Lean Sigma methodologies to drive operational excellence.
o Transition plants to 24/7 operations, meeting the target of 96% capacity utilization.
3. Executive Team Management:
o Directly manage key leadership positions, including CFO, Shared Services Director, Operations Director, and Chief Commercial Officer (CCO).
o Support the Operations Director, who oversees plant managers across multiple sites, including a new plant currently under construction.
4. Change Management and Leadership:
o Lead cultural and operational change to align the organization with its growth and efficiency goals.
o Foster collaboration and engagement across diverse teams and geographies.
5. Financial Oversight:
o Own the company’s P&L and ensure financial targets are met or exceeded.
o Collaborate with the CFO to maintain strong financial controls and optimize profitability.
6. Engineering and Technical Expertise:
o Leverage an engineering background to guide technical decision-making and support innovation in processes and technology.
7. Stakeholder Engagement:
o Act as the primary liaison with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with broader organizational priorities.
o Build strong relationships with external stakeholders, including regulators, partners, and suppliers.

Requirements
Qualifications and Experience:
* Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Chemical, Mechanical, or related field). Advanced degrees (MBA, MS) are a plus.
* Industry Expertise: Minimum 10 years of senior leadership experience in the chemicals, or related industries.
* Change Leadership: Demonstrated success in driving cultural and operational transformation.
* Lean Sigma Expertise: Proven ability to implement Lean Sigma principles to enhance operational performance.
* P&L Responsibility: Experience managing full P&L for a business or division.
* Leadership: Strong track record of leading cross-functional teams and building high-performing organizations.
