ROLE SUMMARY:
King's College, The British School of Alicante, is seeking to appoint an inspiring, committed, and passionate professional to teach Computer Science to IBDP and A-Level from August 2025.
This is an exciting opportunity to join an outstanding school as we continue to develop our Computer Science department. If you are a skilled teacher experienced in KS3, KS4, and KS5 (IBDP and A-Level), passionate about creating independent, internationally minded, and curious pupils, and enjoy the challenge of teaching mixed attainment groups, we would love to hear from you!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Deliver high-quality teaching and learning in line with the UK National Curriculum and local requirements.
* Plan, provide feedback, and teach in line with school and departmental procedures.
* Prepare and deliver schemes of work in accordance with school policies.
* Maintain a working knowledge of National Curriculum and other relevant documents.
* Keep records of pupils’ progress, including all statutory documents required by the UK DFE.
* Produce reports and grades for pupils as per the school calendar.
* Conduct termly interviews with parents to discuss and explain their child’s performance and progress.
* Provide and maintain an attractive and stimulating environment to foster effective teaching and learning.
* Monitor progress and the effectiveness of class work, evaluating and modifying planning and teaching as necessary.
* Differentiating accordingly based on students’ needs.

* Experience successfully teaching Computer Science to IBDP Level and/or A-Level.

* Ability to adapt teaching methods to support pupils whose first language may not be English.
