We are seeking a Data Center Critical Environment Manager to join our Spain-Portugal team, working directly with our Data Center Site Managers. This role will be responsible for the development, roll-out and continuous improvement of customers projects, services, and reports.

Key Responsibilities
Include but are not limited to:
Establishing strong working relationships with customers
Overseeing the day-to-day operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in a datacenter
Managing and organizing the planned preventative and corrective electrical and/or mechanical equipment according to customer requirements
Ensuring that electrical, mechanical, and/or fire/life safety equipment within the client data hall are operating at peak efficiency
Ensuring compliance with infrastructure operations standardization
Acting as an escalation point for all facilities-related issues within the datacenter, escalating to the Operations Team as needed. This may include assisting technicians in times of emergencies, job training, and providing input/recommendations on electrical/mechanical design parameters
Management of small-to-medium projects from conception to completion
Ensuring routine reporting for critical infrastructure, inclusive of operational and maintenance KPIs, objectives, organizational policies, procedures, and standards
Driving cost/energy efficiency projects
Identifying single points-of-failure at client infrastructure
Coordinating, planning, scheduling, and supervising audits and compliance verifications
Driving identification and remediation of vulnerabilities (such as single points of failure) Provide recommendations on new data center equipment designs, technologies, and construction methods. Drive cost/energy efficiency projects
Sharing best practices, assisting others in learning role, process, procedures, and mentors’ others
Promoting a culture of safety, security, and compliance in all aspect of datacenter activities
Driving data analytics, metrics, and interpretation of a complex environment to identify inefficiencies, opportunities, exceptions, and correlations, and proactively respond before they impact the business
Ensuring quality, up-to-date documentation exists for all service arrangements
Achieving consistent customer satisfaction ratings and respond appropriate to customer feedback on areas for improvement
Developing and providing a training program to support implementation and operations for our clients
Implement and drive a “lessons learned” approach
Skills & Requirements
Education / Experience
Problem-solving aptitude and advanced knowledge of lean operational methodologies to distill operational data, develop an intentional data-driven strategy, and drive resulting global impact
Experience mentoring and leading project management professionals is desired but not required
BS or BA in a technical field, or commensurate experience
5 years of leadership experience, preferably in a mature engineering or operations environment
Experience in large-scale planning and coordination, with experiencing delivering multiple concurrent projects on tight timelines
A solid understanding of enterprise level infrastructure is desired
Have excellent customer management skills
ITIL certification is a plus
Knowledge of critical environment concepts and infrastructure (e.g. Electrical Distribution, Mechanical Cooling Systems, etc.)
A solid understanding of financial management, budgeting, and forecasting
Project or program management experience and certification(s) (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, PMI, Agile, etc.)
