Co-develops vision and supports prioritization of new AI- / decision-making tools in close alignment with the BPA / Finance functions of different business units.
Owns selected AI / ML products and heads their design, development and implementation by orchestrating the right resources across data science and visualization experts. Ensures successful roll-out, adoption and ongoing operations.
Connects newly designed solutions and processes with operational links and leverages her / his operations acumen to pragmatically implement in the Novartis environment.
Identifies areas of inefficiencies in the application of AI / ML / digital and implements improvements towards a highly efficient, “industrialized” approach (“technology at scale”).
Liaises with other digital / AI initiatives (e.g. commercial, supply chain, pricing and market access, treasury, investor relations), identifies potential overlaps / synergies, and co-creates holistic digitalization roadmap.
Co-shapes future organization of BPA / Finance function to realize systemic evolution.
Works closely with broader Digital Finance and Data & IT team to define data requirements for next generation AI tools to further improve decision-making and efficiencies.
Identifies proactively industry benchmarks that trigger / sparkle change initiatives. Proposes innovative approaches to operations and owns their realization from presentation to top management to execution and delivery of results.
Offers fresh perspectives and ideas from different industries to introduce and develop new ways of doing things, especially in the space of digital transformation.
Leads select, new initiatives / MVPs with cross-functional partners to proof business value with objective to scale up globally.
Minimum Requirements:
University degree in Finance, Economics (or similar), MBA or equivalent preferred.
English (fluent, written and spoken).
5-8 years of experience in roles related to consulting, advisory or business process reengineering in a multinational company or top tier consulting firm.
Knowledge of business finance processes (esp. planning & forecasting), performance management, business analytics.
Strong, proven analytical and quantitative skills (coding / programming skills are not required).
Strong project management skills; project management certification (PMP, etc.) is an asset.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills applied in complex environments (e.g. matrix / divisional organizations).
