We work with leading companies in their sectors of activity and for this vacancy we collaborate with an international industrial company that is a reference in automation in the search of a Operations Manager.
The main mission of the position would be to manage the company's project execution system to to ensure achievement of the entity’s Mid-Range Plan commitments over 2-year rolling time horizons.
You will have the following functions:
* Develop, implement, measure, and manage the entity's project management system.
* Ensure project execution processes and mechanisms are designed to deliver commitments and continuously improve site operations, consulting with clients to confirm acceptance.
* Diagnose gaps between current and desired project management performance and deploy strategies to resolve.
* Monitor and ensure compliance to business processes.
* Build and lead a team of committed and capable employees to ensure successful project execution.
* Ensure optimal engineering and project management team allocation to projects.
* Monitor skill base within the project execution team and recommend changes.
* Ensure client issues are resolved, at client sites if necessary, coordinating with appropriate personnel, escalating as appropriate.
* Develop effective and collaborative relationships with internal and external clients and suppliers, domestically and internationally, to secure resources and deliver effective solutions which meet client contractual commitments.
* Develop, monitor, and manage project management budgets to meet business targets.
* Ensure accurate project execution costs estimates for cost and price evaluations of potential order.
* Ensure key information on project performance, for example, sales, costs, margin, and schedules is acquired and monitored, in coordination with other BU management.
* Ensure effective risk assessment and abatement plans are developed, implemented, and managed to meet project budgets and targets.
* Identify opportunities, initiate, and lead process improvement initiatives in the organization.
* Provide Company, parent company executives, and functional units with timely updates on sales, margin, project status, process improvements, client confidence, and similar measures.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronic, mechanical, or computer engineering or related field or equivalent via education/work experience.
* 2 years of program/project management experience.
* 4 years of experience in metals, port solutions, paper and/or related general industries.
* Demonstrated thorough understanding of service business operating finances.
* Proficiency in use of Oracle Project Engineer, Requisitions, and Project Inquiry.
* Proficiency in MS Office.
* Availability to travel, domestically and internationally, up to 20%,
* Advanced level of English (C1)
