We are looking for physicians based in Madrid with experience in primary care or emergency medicine, who are interested in working in telemedicine to provide services to insured patients requiring medical assistance during international travel.
While the MIR certification in Family Medicine is not a strict requirement, it will be highly valued, along with experience in managing this type of specialized advisory service.
YOUR MISSION
Within the medical department, your mission is to provide medical assistance to patients as part of the services offered under national and international travel insurance policies. You will collaborate with other healthcare professionals in the department, including nurses and administrative staff.
MAIN DUTIES
1. Medical Assistance: Provide global medical consultations to insured patients, oversee treatments, collaborate on hospitalisation planning, and recommend appropriate medical transport.
2. Reports and Telemedicine: Review medical histories, coordinate second opinions and telemedicine services, prepare medical reports, and communicate patient progress.
3. Global Assistance Network: Support the expansion and maintenance of medical providers, gather information, and provide feedback to improve the assistance network.
4. Medical Transport: Assess and coordinate medical evacuations and repatriations, manage authorisations with airlines, and maintain mobile medical equipment.
5. Other Responsibilities: Participate in health campaigns and adapt to additional functions as needed in the medical assistance services.
REQUIREMENTS:
Essential requirements:
1. Fluent English and Spanish: essential
2. Residence in Madrid: essential.
3. 4 years minimum experience as a doctor (primary care, family doctor, emergency, etc...).
4. 1-year minimum experience working as a doctor in Spain (public or private sector).
5. Good MS Office performance (Word, Excel)
Positive requirements:
1. Possession of MIR qualification (Family Medicine).
2. Experience in travel medical tele-assistance or international medical assistance (Travel Health).
3. Speak another language (French, Portuguese, German, etc.).
4. International experience.
