Job Description:
SEK International School- El Castillo is a co-educational, day and boarding, bilingual and international school located in Spain. We are currently seeking a well-qualified Mathematics teacher to join our team.
Job Objectives:
* Identify and promote core learning skills and teaching strategies in the IB Diploma and Middle Years Programmes.
* Plan and deliver learning experiences in Mathematics ensuring access for all students.
Responsibilities:
* Plan, prepare, develop and deliver courses of study to a range of classes according to the school curriculum guidelines, including Mathematics subjects in the IB Diploma Programme and the Middle Years Programme.
* Develop and present lesson plans using various teaching models and techniques in the subject area, incorporating relevant technology to support teaching.
* Collaborate with other teachers to revise, develop and write new vertical and horizontal curriculum documents, assessments and evaluations, as required.
* Maintain accurate and complete records of student progress and achievement, communicating with parents as needed.
* Model inquiry practice in the classroom and promote the IB learner profile.
* Differentiate courses and lessons to meet individual student needs, based on their academic ability and previous achievement.
* Maintain good student behavior in the classroom and on school premises, adhering to the IB Learner Profile and school disciplinary policies.
* Prepare students for qualifications and external examinations.
* Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and other school events.
Qualifications and Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Engineering or Physics.
* Teacher certification accepted by the Spanish authorities.
* Proficient level (C2 or equivalent) in English.
* European Passport or Visa to work in EU member states.
