Shift/Hours: Variable Days, start time varies 6a, 7a or 8a, 12×3, 36hrs per week
Length: 13 Weeks
Call Required: 19:00-07:00 – 4 on call shifts in a 6 week scheduling period additional to the 36 hours
Requirements:
* OH license
* 2 years of experience
* BLS
* Must have worked in hospital based dialysis program previously
* ACLS preferred
* Epic – required
* Teaching Hospital Experience preferred
* Electronic Documentation preferred
Other Details:
* First-timers accepted
* Locals accepted: No local travelers 50 miles or less
* Charting Experience – Epic – required
* COVID-19 Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Required – Medical/Religious Exemptions Only
* Flu Vaccine (Facility Guideline): Required – Medical/Religious Exemptions Only

Avg. Daily Census: 20-30 overall in unit (treatments)
Years of experience REQ: 2 years- Must have worked in hospital based dialysis program previously
Certs REQ: BCLS required and ACLS preferred
Is on-call REQ? Yes 7p-7a
Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs?
Open to accommodating block schedule? No
RTO Restrictions: Greater than 3 days will require Management approval
Special Requirements:
* Patient Age group: Adults and Geriatrics
* Chronic Renal Failure
* We run 6-12 hemodialysis treatments in hemodialysis unit at a time, ICU treatments completed at the bedside 1:1
* Special Equipment: Phoenix Baxter Hemodialysis Machines
* Skills: HOSPITAL DIALYSIS EXPERIENCE A MUST, Teaching Hospital Experience – preferred
Work Settings: Acute Care Inpatient Dialysis
Care of the Patient With: Acute Renal Failure, Acute Kidney Injury, Hemodialysis
Dialysis Treatment: Administration of blood/blood products during treatment, Administration of Mannitol/albumin/23.4% NaCL, Blood flow rates (Qb), Conductivity meters, Dialysate flow rate (Qd), Management of anticoagulation, Vascular access malfunction, Venous pressure
Initiate/Set Up Dialysis Treatment: Absence of disinfectant in system, Ability to cannulate AV graft, Ability to cannulate AV fistula, Dialysate Conductivity testing, Tunneled/ Non Tunneled Catheter
Post Dialysis Treatment: Post treatment access care
Professional Knowledge and Skills: Blood glucose monitoring, Infection control
Symptom Management: Chest pain, Clotted access/poor blood flow rate, Disequilibrium syndrome, Filter blood leak, Fluid overload, Hemolysis, Hyperkalemia, Hypotension, Muscle cramps
Additional Skills: Cannulation
