Data Center Operations Technician, (Entry Level)
DESCRIPTION
This role is a unique opportunity to work in some of the most cutting-edge data centers in the world. Amazon data centers are large-scale high-density centers where you will be working on changing the face of Cloud technology in the region.
Amazon Data Centers takes customer data with the utmost importance, and selected candidates must be able to perform repetitive tasks without variance and adhere to strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) that ensures customer data is protected and properly handled.
This Entry Level position requires candidates to be a self-starter, highly motivated individual who can adhere to strict processes and be able to perform repetitive tasks with no deviation and demonstrate continuously consistent results. Team Members will be working in a multifunctional environment and must be able to communicate and promote cross-team functionality.

Key job responsibilities
1. Manage work and priorities through ticketing system and/or workflows.
2. Adhere to security and safety best practices in the data center.
3. Participate in team meetings for metric analysis and daily/weekly goals achievement.
4. Basic Networking removal/installation and clearing of configurations.
5. Unpacking/repacking fragile electronics.
6. Perform duties constantly and without deviations unless otherwise instructed.
7. Updating progress through a web ticketing system.
8. Reporting of processes and regular status updates.
9. Work with cross-functional teams on a regular basis to complete routine work.
10. Contribute to the development of other team members.
11. Escalating to senior technicians and management as needed/required.
* This position also has a physical component requiring the ability to lift & rack equipment up to 40lbs; it may require working in cramped spaces or in elevated locations while adhering to health & safety guidelines.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
1. Understanding of basic computer hardware architecture, and basic knowledge of networking infrastructure (cabling and networking equipment identification).
2. Strong Communication Skills.
3. Fluent English is required for this role.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. Hardware troubleshooting knowledge.
2. Knowledge on Data Center industry is advantageous.
3. Passionate about IT infrastructure and hardware.
