Are you a Machine Learning Engineer with a background in Large Language Models that is looking for a new role at an award-winning, highly funded deep tech startup? At European Tech Recruit, we are currently working alongside a market leader in Quantum Software that is making recent strides in the AI space, helping them to bring on board an LLM Machine Learning Engineer.
Responsibilities:
1. Develop and implement innovative techniques to compress Large Language Models (LLMs) using quantum-inspired technologies, addressing complex challenges across various domains.
2. Conduct thorough evaluations and benchmarking of model performance, identifying areas for improvement, and optimizing LLMs for enhanced accuracy, robustness, and efficiency.
3. Leverage your expertise to assess model strengths and weaknesses, propose improvements, and create novel solutions to enhance performance and efficiency.
4. Serve as a subject matter expert in LLMs, understanding domain-specific challenges and identifying opportunities for quantum AI-driven advancements.
5. Document LLM development processes, experiments, and results comprehensively.
6. Share expertise with the team to promote continuous learning, mentor junior members in LLM development, and support their technical skill growth.
7. Participate in code reviews, offering constructive feedback to peers.
8. Stay current with advancements and emerging trends in LLMs, recommending new tools and technologies as appropriate.
Required Qualifications:
1. Master's or Ph.D. in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
2. 4+ years of hands-on experience working with deep learning models in an industry setting.
3. Solid expertise in various ML technologies, particularly natural language processing and large language models.
4. Familiarity with frameworks like Yolo, Llama, Claude, Mistral, or Falcon is highly desirable.
5. Exceptional problem-solving, debugging, performance analysis, test design, and documentation skills.
6. Strong knowledge of GPU architectures and their fundamentals.
7. Proficient in Python programming and experienced with libraries such as PyTorch and Hugging Face.
8. Experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS), containerization tools (Docker), and deploying AI solutions in cloud environments.
9. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively in fast-paced team settings and communicate complex ideas clearly.
10. Research publications in deep learning are a plus.
11. Fluency in English.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Ph.D. in Artificial Intelligence, Computer Science, Data Science, or related fields with research experience in LLMs.
2. Expertise in unsupervised machine learning for time series analysis.
3. Experience training and deploying deep learning models in cloud environments.
