The key responsibilities for you as Carrier Manager include:
1. Working closely with LLP Operations, Planning, central PCM teams, and the customer to identify and secure the most suitable, cost-effective mode of transportation service provider for each country, region, and lane.
2. Assuming account responsibility to ensure KPI's for carriers are recorded and reported accurately and to support the development of effective corrective action plans to achieve this in a timely manner.
3. Ensuring KPI reports are shared with carriers on the regularity agreed locally and establishing a carrier partnership review process.
4. Identifying and developing new carriers to ensure capacity, cost competitiveness, and service delivery.
5. Ensuring that carriers go through the LLP approval process and are 100% compliant with LLPs and customer compliance requirements, including but not limited to: Quality; Security; Operational and Corporate compliance and are on-boarded in line with LLP contractual obligations.
6. Ensuring carriers achieve contractual service requirements or making compelling recommendations for replacing the nominated carrier.
7. Having ownership of the carrier strategy for the contract - Short, medium, long-term objectives; feeding it and aligning to procurement activities.
Requirements for the Job:
1. Fluent English skills.
2. Diploma/Certificate in Logistics/Freight Forwarding.
3. Experience in Supplier Management; Carrier Management and/or Supplier Relationship Management programs.
4. At least 5 years of management experience in Freight Forwarding and/or a logistics environment with experience in multi-modal transport operations (Courier, Road, Air & Sea), freight forwarding - DGF / Express / Freight.
5. Customer relationship management skills.
6. Senior Account Management experience.
7. Demonstrable record of service improvement through innovation.
8. Experience in LLP operations in Supply Chain division.
