We are looking for an experienced Area Sales Manager to manage the Aviation supply of Products, Spare parts, and services.
Area Sales Manager responsibilities include strategizing to find the sourcing and selection of suitable, cost effective and reliable suppliers of aircraft components and business services, able to meet the business requirements.
The Sales Manager role will support business inventory requirements, internal and external customers with responsibilities associated with both tactical and strategic purchasing of aircraft components and business services.
delivery and contract adherence whilst minimalizing costs. All functions to focus on stock availability, reducing costs and customer satisfaction.
The sales manager duty is to execute Sales & Operational complete cycle from inquiry to delivery in support with Logistics team.
Responsibilities
• Work with existing and potential suppliers, securing best price through effective negotiations and collaboration to achieve business objectives
• Management of daily tactical and strategic work to ensure timely responses in sourcing and purchasing aircraft components to maintain optimum inventory levels and support internal and external customer requirements
• Organize sales meetings including occasional travel to sales locations.
• Develop, produce & analyze reports supporting and improving departmental KPI’s
• Functionally Support Asset Management Team, Sales Team, and Operation Team to undertake other duties /projects as required
• Understand and adhere to Export Control regulations where relevant
• Work closely with logistics securing shipments deliveries.
Requirements and skills
• Experience in aircraft component, MRO or trading environment required, Minimum 4 years’ experience.
• Experience in commercial sales beneficial
• Knowledge of aircraft components with awareness of component conditions, certification, and airworthiness regulations
• Understanding of IPC’s, alternative part numbers and aircraft effectivity
• Logistics Past experience or worked closely with worldwide shipping processes & familiarity with Incoterms
• Good computer literacy, Proficient in MS Office, with some experience with Web based Aircraft parts databases highly advantageous
• Analytical thinker with strong problem-solving ability
• Excellent communication skills at all levels, verbal and written, Professional and confident telephone skills
• Strong organization, time management and excellent administration skills
• Excellent ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines
• Proactive, self-motivated, and driven to succeed in a busy environment
