JOB SUMMARY
1. Definition of the job: Corporate R&D Director oversees all R&D development centers and Corporate Design leaders. In charge of the product and process design concept and validation as a whole, plays an integral role in setting the company’s strategic direction, development, and future growth.

JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Lead the market research in the different regions in which the company operates and the product plan development and launch alongside sales and marketing.
2. Represent the technological agenda in staff meetings and when making hiring decisions.
3. Identify, compare, select, and implement technology solutions to meet current and future needs.
4. Oversee, supervise, and control the Intellectual Property (IP) cycle, ensuring appropriate internal coordination with R&D centers, external IP partners (technical bureau / lawyer), and CFO. Ensure appropriate IP protection for company’s products and inventions in appropriate markets. Keep company’s Patent Book updated.
5. Develop, track, and control the development of annual operating and capital budgets for R&D and Marketing.
6. Create overall technology standards (product and process) and practices and ensure adherence.
7. Consolidate technology platforms and create plans for each alongside sales and marketing (product plan generation).
8. Track, analyze and monitor technology performance metrics alongside sales and marketing (product plan monitoring).
9. Balance workload, and coordinate/supervise project technical development activities in each work center.
10. Ensure, jointly with HR department, talent is properly identified, attracted, and developed.
11. Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in the technology landscape.
12. Take the initiative in thought leadership, innovation, and creativity.
13. Lead with Marketing department and coordinate with Sales department, setting product market strategy and providing guidance on product plan strategy.
14. Work closely with Marketing, Sales and Operations to define and deliver new products and enhancements.
15. Lead the development of new products from concept to design validation jointly with customers and projects team with a value proposition attitude and quality oriented mindset.
16. Perform other assigned tasks by direct leader.
REQUIREMENTS
- Education: University degree (engineering, electrical/electronic preferred). Having a certificate of MBA.
- Experience: at least 3 years in a similar position in a multinational company.
