Business Development Manager - Spain
Location: Madrid, Community of Madrid, ES
Responsibilities:
* Lead Generation and Prospecting: Identify and cultivate leads through diverse channels such as networking, industry events, trade shows, online platforms, and referrals. Engage with prospective clients to assess their energy storage needs and offer customized solutions.
* Business Development Strategy: Create and execute a holistic business development strategy aimed at acquiring new commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage projects. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure our offerings align with client specifications and market demand.
* Client Relationship Management: Develop and sustain robust relationships with both existing and prospective clients, gaining insights into their long-term objectives while providing continuous support. Act as the primary point of contact throughout the project lifecycle to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
* Proposal Development: Draft and deliver persuasive proposals, bids, and tender responses for C&I energy storage initiatives. Tailor project specifications, pricing models, and financial analyses to meet client needs and optimize project profitability.
* Contract Negotiation: Oversee contract negotiations with clients to secure favorable terms for the organization. Work closely with legal and finance teams to review and finalize contracts, ensuring they adhere to regulatory and legal standards.
* Project Coordination: Partner with cross-functional teams, including engineering, project management, and operations, to facilitate seamless project execution. Provide technical input, guidance on feasibility, and advice on project timelines to ensure successful implementation.
* Industry Networking: Cultivate a strong professional network within the C&I energy storage sector by actively participating in relevant conferences, seminars, and industry events. Engage in industry associations and initiatives to stay abreast of trends and foster collaborations.
* Market Intelligence: Keep updated on market trends, policy shifts, and emerging technologies related to C&I energy storage. Continuously evaluate market dynamics and the competitive landscape to uncover new opportunities and refine business strategies accordingly.
Requirements:
* A degree in engineering, project management, or a related discipline, coupled with experience in energy storage project development.
* A minimum of 3 years of experience in project development management positions related to energy storage or renewable energy.
* Proven experience in managing complex, multi-phase projects, along with a strong understanding of the technical aspects of C&I energy storage.
* Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
