The person will be responsible for the civil works scope for the turnkey projects during the offer stage as well as afterwards for the execution of High Voltage substations, converter station, storage projects or flexible ac transmission systems including engineering and construction.
During the offer stage, the role will collaborate with the tender responsible and during execution with the Project Manager.
How You’ll Make an Impact
1. Support the sales/tender manager during the offer stage to ensure that the projects fulfill technical and economical requirements.
2. Develop together with the tender manager the civil works strategy and support the purchase responsible to define the better partners.
3. Analyze and check engineering and civil works offers to define the final subcontractor.
4. Negotiate together with the contract manager the contracts with the suppliers that will be involved in the construction site.
5. During execution, be responsible for civil engineering, civil works, and all related construction contracts, including claim management and cost control.
6. Maintain relationships with the customer, internal partners, and subcontractors.
7. Be responsible for profit & loss of construction subcontractors.
8. Control claims and variation orders of subcontractors.
9. Coordinate with other departments: PRL, environmental, purchasing, legal.
What You Bring
1. Bachelor or Master degree in civil engineering or a related area, or equivalent experience.
2. Technical knowledge and proven experience of more than 5 years in civil works including earthworks, foundations, prefabricated buildings, etc.
3. Experience with contract management for a minimum of 3 years.
4. High level of spoken and written Spanish and English.
5. Availability to travel to the sites (inside Spain) for short visits.
