Summary: This position is located within the Food & Beverage Division, at MWR Department, Rota, Spain. The primary purpose of this position is to operate a cash register, receive payment, take customers' orders, and assist with simple food preparation.
Responsibilities:
1. Operates a cash register, collects monies, makes changes, cash checks, and makes slot machine refunds.
2. Processes credit card transactions.
3. Prepares daily cash sales receipts; responsible for change funds and will comply with cash handling procedures.
4. Prepares daily activity report (DAR) at the end of the shift for cash handling accountability.
5. Takes payments from customers, makes change, and gives receipts.
6. Keeps records of transactions and prepares cash and checks for deposits.
7. Prepares sales reports.
8. Answers the phone, takes reservations, and serves as hosts by seating patrons.
9. Sells any displayed items at the counter.
10. May also have front desk duties.
11. Sells tickets to customers and operates ticket dispenser machines.
12. Prepares foods on trays and containers for serving.
13. Fills cups from drink dispensers or provides bottles or cans of drinks.
14. Prepares simple food such as hot dogs, sandwiches, etc.
15. Maintains counter spaces and work area in clean conditions and orderly fashion.
16. Ensures spills and/or dropped food is removed quickly to prevent safety hazards.
17. Fills condiment dispensers, napkin holders, etc.
18. At the theater, sometimes handles advance ticket sales and mail-order ticket requests as well as turns on projector to start the movie.
19. Receives and signs merchandise from the warehouse to the storage area.
20. Provides good customer service at the Food and Beverage Division.
21. Maintains a neat and orderly appearance, including good manners of dressing.
22. Maintains a positive work relationship with employees, promoting a cooperative and harmonious working environment, positive employee attitude, productivity, and continuous improvement.
23. Other related duties as assigned.

A qualified candidate possesses the following:
1. Knowledge and understanding of guides and regulations to interpret and apply them to a variety of accounting situations.

Salary is dependent on experience and/or education. Some positions have special requirements. The selectee may be required to complete a one (1) year probationary period.
