NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING DEVELOPING ENGINEER – NUCLEAR SECTOR.
We are looking for a Non-Destructive Testing techniques Developing Engineer to join us in the NDT Technology Group of Westinghouse Spain (former Tecnatom).
Its main activity will be the development of inspection techniques in the laboratory (mainly ultrasound), the drafting of inspection procedures and their validation.
It will be oriented on projects for the nuclear sector (metallic materials and welds).
The activities will be carried out at our facilities at the San Sebastián de los Reyes Headquarters, although there is the possibility of making sporadic trips to the clients' facilities in Spain and abroad.
* Bachelor's or master's degree in sciences or technical areas (physics, materials engineering, telecommunications engineering, etc.).
* Experience in the development and application of inspection procedures (mainly by Ultrasound).
* Preparation of technical justifications for the validation of inspection procedures.
* Ability to propose and lead developments of new inspection processes and techniques.
* Analytical capacity, work organization, and rigor.
* Good level of spoken and written English (minimum B2).
* Availability to travel, both nationally and abroad.
The following will be assessed:
* Experience in the inspection of metal materials and welds.
* UT Level II or Level III qualifications according to ISO 9712.
* Knowledge of UT Phased-Array or TOFD (qualification according to ISO 9712 desirable).
* Knowledge of CIVA simulation SW.
* Knowledge of international UT inspection regulations (ASME, ISO, ENIQ, RCC-MR...).
