Job Description: FMCG Food Multinational is looking for a Category Manager for a very successful brand. You will be responsible for driving the development of a successful brand in several categories.
Responsibilities:
* You will contribute to the development of an ambitious omnichannel strategy.
* You will do category segment data analysis for categories, using data sources like 1) retail POS 2) market and consumer panel data e.g. IRI or Nielsen 3) customer specific insights and 4) Sell-out data-sharing of Retailers 5) bespoke company's consumer/shopper research.
* You create an annual category plan consisting of guidance to sales teams on Assortment, Promotion, Pricing, Shelf placement, based on understanding competitor activities.
* From the category plan, you give guidance to Marketing in order to secure excellent in-store visibility execution in all sales channels (Retail, Away from Home, Online).
* During the year, you will co-lead the regular category business meetings, where status of annual plan vs. YTD reality gets discussed, and where corrective measures get agreed.
* You will analyze market and retail POS data to generate new insights and new tactics concerning category and customer dynamics.
* You will create compelling selling stories per Sales Channel on the added value of our portfolio for the development of the customer's business. You act as scriptwriter for Sales.
* You will also join the Key Account Managers in visiting key customers.
* Lead numerous interconnected processes between marketing, logistics & sales in order to achieve excellence execution with our clients within innovation, assortment, visibility etc.
* Develop selling-stories as captain of category touching key points as price, planogram, assortment, visibility, shopper conduct and consumer behaviour.
Reporting: In this role you will report to the Marketing & Category Development Manager Spain, and work in close collaboration with Marketing & Category Development Director SOF EU, and the internal network of Category Management peers in the Area Sales Office Europe (Consisting of 9 countries).
Requirements:
* 4 years of experience in (trade) marketing or category development within FMCG.
* Fluent in Spanish and good English skills (>C1).
Working Conditions:
* 6 months with 1 day of remote work per week, followed by 6 months with 2 days of remote work per week.
* Salary: €45,000-€55,000 + up to 6% variable depending on experience.
