Description: The UAT Tester for Operational Business Systems is responsible for ensuring that newly developed or enhanced business applications meet the functional and operational requirements of the business and of end users.
The role involves planning, designing, executing, and reporting on UAT testing activities to validate that the systems work as intended in a real-world, user-facing environment.
The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a solid understanding of business processes and systems.
Responsibilities
1. Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand system requirements, business processes, and user stories.
2. Develop comprehensive UAT test plans, test cases, and scenarios that reflect real-world usage of business systems.
3. Identify test data requirements and prepare the necessary data for execution.
4. Execute UAT test cases and scenarios, meticulously logging results and noting any discrepancies.
5. Ensure that all functional, operational, and user-specific requirements are adequately tested.
6. Identify, document, and report bugs, errors, or issues found during testing.
7. Track defects through to resolution, working closely with the development team to retest fixes and ensure issues are resolved.
8. Act as a liaison between the business and IT teams, ensuring that the system functionality aligns with business requirements.
9. Recommend process improvements to enhance testing efficiency and effectiveness.
10. Assist in user training and provide system documentation or user guides as needed.
11. Support the deployment of the system, ensuring that it functions correctly after go-live.
Qualifications
1. English (C-1)
2. Qualifications in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
3. Certifications in testing (e.g., ISTQB) or business systems (preferred).
4. 2-4 years of experience in UAT testing, preferably within operational business systems like ERP, CRM, or other enterprise-level systems.
5. Experience working closely with cross-functional teams (e.g., Business Analysts, Developers, and Business Stakeholders).

4. Ability to identify potential risks and escalate appropriately.

6. Proficient in using UAT testing tools and software (e.g., Jira, HP ALM, TestRail).
7. Knowledge of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies.
