Microsoft''s CO+I team is seeking a Datacenter Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) Cost Management Change Lead to provide services for the EMEA region. This role can be based anywhere within the main EMEA locations. The Cost Management Change Lead will be responsible for the consistent management and coordination of all changes in construction projects at a portfolio level, ensuring that changes are documented, approved, and implemented effectively. This role requires strong project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders. Responsibilities Reports to the EPC Regional Cost Management Lead Provide on the ground commercial management support to all projects to ensure that Microsoft is financially and contractually protected. Management of commercial issues on all projects and reporting of these issues through the Project Controls & EPC head office in Redmond on a regular basis. Lead the Cost Trend Management (CTM) process for all projects in the metro by identifying, collating into the CTM log and accurately reporting any business driven scope changes, changes in market pricing and risk items that would result in a change to the project budgets. Ensure the EPC project team is aware of the estimate baseline in terms of scope, cost and execution assumptions. Ensure the cost reporting of new projects is correctly set up for design kick off full build budget & CBS code breakdown are correct, and project and budget data is showing in CTM input tool and reporting. Risk Assessment: Factor in lead indicator and regional cost trends at portfolio level to assess the impact of changes on project timelines, budgets, and resources, and develop mitigation strategies. Chair bi weekly CTM meetings with the EPC Project/Metro and Sub Regional Teams, and other MS stakeholders as applicable. Identify a
