As a Competitive Intelligence Specialist, you will play a strategic role in shaping the company’s decision-making process by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting key competitive data in vaccine development for human and animal health. Your insights will directly influence corporate strategy, R&D priorities, and business expansion by identifying emerging trends, competitor movements, and innovation opportunities. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will transform complex data into actionable intelligence that drives the company’s competitive edge.
Key Functions
* Lead competitive intelligence efforts by monitoring preclinical vaccine development, competitor strategies, and regulatory landscapes.
* Drive strategic decision-making by providing deep insights into emerging opportunities, risks, and innovation gaps.
* Utilize advanced intelligence tools such as PubMed, ScienceDirect, ClinicalTrials.gov, and patent databases to track industry trends and competitor movements.
* Shape R&D and business strategies by identifying key scientific and commercial shifts in the market.
* Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, delivering high-impact reports and strategic recommendations that influence the company’s roadmap.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Business Development, and Regulatory Affairs, ensuring alignment between intelligence findings and corporate initiatives.
Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or a related field (mandatory).
* Master’s degree in Immunology (mandatory).
* Ph.D. in a scientific discipline, preferably in vaccines, immunology, or related areas (highly valued).
* Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in Competitive Intelligence, Strategic Analysis, or Intellectual Property (IP) research.
* Proven ability to translate competitive insights into strategic recommendations.
* Strong experience in preclinical vaccine trial analysis and IP monitoring.
* Strategic mindset with the ability to connect scientific data with business objectives.
* Exceptional analytical and critical thinking skills to interpret and predict industry movements.
* Strong storytelling and communication skills to present intelligence findings to senior leadership.
* Independence and initiative, capable of working in a 100% remote environment.
* Fluent in English (spoken and written).
