Purpose
The IT Infrastructure Specialist will be a pivotal role in supporting the strategic partnership between Mercedes-Benz and NVIDIA, ensuring seamless IT operations and integration. The specialist will work with international teams to maintain and enhance IT infrastructure, focusing on cloud systems, network connectivity, user account management, and application integration.
This role requires a dynamic and proactive IT professional who can navigate complex IT landscapes and foster strong relationships with both internal teams and external partners like NVIDIA. The ability to communicate effectively, troubleshoot systematically, and document meticulously is crucial for success in this position.
Qualifications
1. Education:
- Completed education or degree in IT or a related field.
- IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft) are an advantage.
2. Experience:
- Proven experience in IT and customer support, ideally in 1st level support or technical support roles.
- Demonstrable experience with cloud-based systems and enterprise applications.
- Familiarity with IAM systems, APIs, scripting, and communication tools (Slack, Teams).
- Experience in creating and managing user accounts and authorizations.
3. Language / Level:
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
- German language skills are beneficial.
4. Specific Know-How:
- Knowledge of security standards and compliance requirements.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Swagger).
- Familiarity with OIDC, Google Workspace, and M365 Power Platform.
Main Tasks
1. First Point of Contact: Serve as the initial contact for troubleshooting IT-related issues, focusing on cloud system failures, network problems, and user account issues. (30%)
2. Incident Analysis and Documentation: Systematically process and analyze incidents, documenting findings in Confluence and Jira for stakeholder review. (20%)
3. User Account and Tool Administration: Manage user accounts and collaboration tools, ensuring security and network compatibility. (15%)
4. Third-Party Application Management: Independently oversee third-party applications, integrating and customizing business applications through scripting and automation. (10%)
5. Network Coordination and Consultation: Liaise on network-related topics for B2B VPN connections, maintaining clear communication with internal and external stakeholders. (10%)
6. Technical Documentation: Prepare and update technical documentation, user manuals, and instructions. (15%)
