About CARLOS SIMÓN FOUNDATION FOR RESEARCH IN WOMEN’S HEALTH
The Carlos Simon Foundation is offering an outstanding postdoctoral position in our research laboratory, based in Valencia, Spain. The applicant will join a research team investigating innovative methods to shift the screening of human embryos. Our goal is to produce precise quantitative approaches to track embryo development in real time and to capture developmental abnormalities compromising implantation and fertility. The project involves the application of advanced imaging approaches.
The foundation is a non-profit organization founded and directed by Carlos Simón, professor at the University of Valencia and renowned clinical researcher in obstetrics and gynecology. We comprise a multidisciplinary team of more than 30 professionals and work to create a world in which women's health pathologies that affect the uterus are no longer a barrier to their quality of life and reproductive desire. Our main activity is biomedical research in reproductive medicine and women's health, and the development of other initiatives aimed at improving our knowledge in the field and its application. Our organization is affiliated with the University of Valencia and the INCLIVA Health Research Institute (IIS INCLIVA), accredited by the Carlos III Health Institute, promoting educational access for our students and fostering the careers of our research team.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
• Contribute expertise in embryo development, cell biology, and state-of-the-art imaging approaches.
• Work effectively with cross-disciplinary teams.
• Provide ideas and perform research to improve embryo screening studies.
• Write research reports, papers for scientific meetings, and peer-reviewed papers
• Contribute to the design and execution of laboratory experiments and to the analysis and interpretation of data.
• Attend national and international conferences to present relevant research.
• Ensure excellent communication with stakeholders (e.g. project team and line management) and excellent interaction and collaboration with interfaces or external third parties and universities.
• Review working practices to ensure institution compliance.
Required skills and experience:
• Ph.D. in areas including molecular and cell biology, embryo development, reproductive science.
• Previous peer-revied papers.
• Ability to work both in a group and independently.
• English language proficiency.

• Salary range will depend on the candidate ́s previous track records and suitability of the candidate for the requested profile.
