Business Development Manager Joints & VELYS Digital Surgery
The Business Development Manager Joints & VELYS Digital Surgery is responsible for driving market adoption and maintaining expert knowledge on DePuy Synthes complex Joints Reconstruction specifically focused on Knee Portfolio development and the VELYS Digital Surgery platform.
You will play a key role in driving the growth of the company by identifying new business opportunities, building strong partnerships and expanding our customer base within our Knee portfolio. You will shape and accompany execution of marketing plans and successful commercialization of DPS knee portfolio. Understanding the market and building value propositions and delivering a compelling brand story in Digital and Service as a key member of the VELYS Digital Surgery & Joints team in Spain.
You will also be providing training and education to internal stakeholders, handing over deployments to local account teams. Working closely with Joints Reconstruction Team and BU Lead, Exec Sales and Field Service to ensure awareness of VELYS creating a meaningful impact in the market.
Tasks & Responsibilities as Business Development Specialist
1. Market Expansion: Identify and develop new business opportunities, new partnerships and market share gain.
2. Relationship Management: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders such as Hospitals, Surgeons, and non-clinical stakeholders.
3. Sales Strategy: Develop and implement business development strategies to drive sales growth, achieve revenue targets and increase market share in the Joints Reconstruction market.
4. Assess market opportunities and work with Business Unit Lead and Sales Management to prepare and capture innovative solutions offerings across all Joints in Knee & Velys Portfolio.
5. Ensure strong alignment with global / EMEA strategies and insights to ensure consistent implementation and execution across Spain for VELYS & Joints solutions.
6. Plan and build tactics for Joints "Knee" that engage loyal customers as well as competitive users.
7. Train and guide surgeons, OR staff and other hospital teams in the use of Knee portfolio and VELYS Digital Surgery platform solutions.
8. Contribute feedback on product design to improve performance and customer satisfaction.
9. Understand scientific and economic evidence to ensure proper communication of value propositions.
10. Build strong relationships, networks, and partnerships with KOLs and internal stakeholders.
11. Take KOL insights and market trends to enhance strategy and generate long-term CEPG.
12. Collaborate with EMEA and with BUM, BDM & Sales Management, and other supporting functions including Education, HEMA, Clinical, Finance, Supply Chain, Legal, HCC etc.
Requirements: Experience, skills, and competencies:
1. Min 5-10 years of experience in commercial roles (including Marketing and Product Management).
2. Min 3-5 years of experience in Medtech company sales.
3. High experience with Joint Reconstruction in Knees and Surgical Navigation.
4. Excellent Communication and Presentation skills.
5. Ability to establish a vision, a project plan and then execute proactively within a team.
6. Ability to prioritize and to successfully lead multiple priorities as the directly responsible individual in a fast-paced environment.
7. Ability to think, plan and deliver commitments.

Education and Qualification
1. Education: University degree or equivalent.
2. Languages: Fluent in English.
3. Travel requirements up to 70%.
