At Deimos, we're revolutionizing space technology, working on a variety of projects that involve leading structural design and analysis, including ground support equipment. We're looking for a dedicated engineer to join our team and contribute to CubeSat and SmallSat missions by defining, executing, and reporting AIT campaigns.
What's the Challenge?
As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will take charge of the complete life cycle of space structures and ground support equipment developed at Deimos, including the AIT phase. You will play a crucial role in several projects, driving structural design and analysis to ensure the success of our missions.
Your Contributions Will Include:
* Leading the structural design and analysis for space structures and ground support equipment.
* Contributing to CubeSat and SmallSat missions by defining, executing, and reporting AIT campaigns.
* Managing the complete life cycle of space structures, from specification to manufacturing and verification.
* Implementing relevant space analysis and design tools, such as Nastran, Patran, and Femap.
* Performing structural analysis for CubeSat and minisat missions at various project milestones.
* Applying AIV/AIT knowledge to space missions.
* Working with ECSS and contributing to the tailoring of ECSS for specific projects.
* Writing technical documentation, including user-facing materials.
What We're Looking For:
Technical skills:
* Detailed knowledge of the space structures life cycle, from specification to manufacturing and verification.
* Proficiency in space analysis and design tools, such as Nastran, Patran, and Femap.
* Experience in structural analysis for CubeSat/minisat missions at different project milestones.
* Knowledge of AIV/AIT applied to space missions.
* Experience with ECSS and the ability to tailor ECSS for specific projects.
* Strong technical writing skills, including user-facing documentation.
Additional valued skills include:
* Familiarity with New Space approaches and techniques.
* Knowledge of systems and subsystems encompassing CubeSat.
* Experience in the structural life cycle at the subsystem/unit level.
* Ability to lead and train less experienced team members.
* Knowledge of Matlab/Simulink.
Educational background:
* Preferred degree in Aerospace Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
Professional Experience:
* 3-6 years in relevant positions.
Language Skills:
* English (B2 level minimum).
