Currently, we are looking to incorporate a Supply Chain / Procurement Manager located in our office in Madrid, with more than 6 years of consulting experience in projects related to Supply Chain & Operations or Procurement area both nationally and internationally.
Key Responsibilities
As a Manager in Supply Chain & Operations, you will:
1. Manage and motivate a team of cross-functional experts of different levels.
2. Demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge in the functional area of procurement. Additional areas will be a plus (e.g. planning, logistics, warehousing, manufacturing, etc.).
3. Quickly learn new processes and uncover new offerings that may assist current customer base.
4. Engage in tactical and process-oriented problem-solving.
5. Develop and present new ideas and conceptualize new approaches and solutions.
6. Build relationships with client personnel and deliver quality client services, assisting clients in uncovering additional areas of opportunity and managing the business development process.
7. Understand EY and its service lines and actively assess what the firm can deliver to serve clients.
8. Contribute to the wider Business Consulting community including people and operational initiatives.
9. Support people initiatives including recruiting, retaining and training new team members.
10. Conduct performance reviews and provide performance feedback for junior level staff.
11. Maintain a learning & development program to continually develop personal skills.
12. Act as a role model for EY values, integrity and professional ethics.
Qualifications
To qualify for the role, you must have knowledge and experience in a number of the following areas:
1. A minimum of 6 years of consulting experience, specifically in Procurement projects. Experience in other functional areas such as planning, logistics or manufacturing will be valued.
2. Hold a third level qualification, preferably in procurement and supply chain.
3. Knowledge and experience in Procurement operating model transformation, covering spend analysis, organization, processes, systems, governance model and KPIs.
4. Expertise in end-to-end procurement processes including spend analytics, E2E process redesign, Source to Contract, Procure to Pay, etc.
5. Experience in strategic procurement and category management (direct and/or indirect spend).
6. Experience in developing sourcing strategies, tendering, suppliers market research, outreach and evaluation, and supporting selection processes.
7. Experience in savings opportunity identification and cost reduction programs.
8. Experience in contract reviews and supplier relationship management.
9. Experience in developing tender documents in accordance with procurement directives.
10. Experience in procurement systems and digital tools evaluation.
11. Experience in sustainable procurement.
12. Entrepreneurial mindset, design thinking, and passion for improvement and optimization.
13. Commercial acumen and enthusiasm to learn new things in this fast-moving environment.
14. Advanced user of Excel, PowerPoint & PowerBI.
