We're seeking a skilled Podcast Manager to lead our podcast expansion across content operations, programming, editorial, and partner management in Spain. This role reports directly to the Head of Spoken Word Operations - NA, LATAM and Spain, based in Los Angeles.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop strategies to grow local customer acquisition and engagement, driving growth of podcast listening in Spain.
* Build and manage relationships with key podcast publishers, including integrated media companies, public/private broadcasters, talent agencies, podcast networks, production companies, and top independent content creators.
* Negotiate and secure creative cross-promotional campaigns with creators, influencers, and networks; track campaigns and analyze effectiveness.
* Collaborate with internal teams, including Music, Marketing, Product, Finance, Audible, and Legal, to align local efforts with broader business goals.
* Execute tailored editorial, programming, marketing, and sponsorship initiatives that leverage multiple channels within Amazon and raise the profile of Amazon Music in the region.
* Identify and communicate trends and new opportunities in the local spoken word industries.
* Manage and monitor ongoing original and exclusive content partnerships.
Basic Qualifications:
* Proficient in both English and Spanish.
* Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
* Functional experience working in operations, content partnerships, or marketing/promotions.
* Experience working in cross-cultural and international environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
* Understanding of the Spanish spoken word/audio landscape, including the publisher and creator ecosystems.
* Experience working with social media strategy and platforms.
* Experience with content management systems, and technical or operational experience working with RSS feeds and content catalogues.
* Self-starter who is customer-obsessed, detail-oriented, and a team player.
