Senior Key Account Manager Retail

To reinforce our Commercial team we are looking for a Senior Key Account Manager Retail.
Mission and Key Tasks
The purpose of the KAM position is to manage the strategic development of the Benelux region in the Retail channel. You will create and implement a well-defined strategy, as well as manage a portfolio of key customers within the BeNeLux region, including the follow-up of some international buying groups.
As KAM you will be in charge of:
1. Creating the strategy and goals for the customers in scope
2. Develop, implement, and monitor key account plans aligned with the overall business unit and group strategy
3. Analyze sales and market data effectively to develop new business, supported by category and product managers
4. Manage market intelligence through regular store visits and communicate findings internally in a timely manner
5. Meeting customers regularly, preparing (materials for) customer meetings and communicating/following up next steps/actions in a structured way
6. Managing all aspects of the commercial negotiations, sales development and customer interaction
7. Deliver the sales and margin targets set by the annual budget
8. Aligning forecasting and forecast accuracy, in close collaboration with the demand manager
9. Conceiving and help implementing range changes and merchandising based on best practices at minimum cost impact
10. Maximizing return on all promotional activity and measure/report on the effectiveness of all promotion investments
Background and Experience
11. Masters degree or equivalent through experience
12. Minimum 8 years of sales experience in a B2B environment
13. Experience of dealing with customers at all levels of an organization
14. Experience in the private label market or related
15. Advanced Excel skills
16. Fluent Dutch and English. French is a plus
17. Ideally a background in FMCG
18. Analytical mindset, able to crunch numbers and to think in a logical and strategic manner
19. Excellent communication skills
20. Hands on multitasker with the ability to prioritize effectively
21. Strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills
