Operations Lead at Customer Site - Coordinadora/coordinador de Equipo Logístico en Instalaciones Cliente
This role is responsible for operationally leading and coordinating a group of Network Operators (Logistics Operators) strategically located at our customer site, spearheading customer distribution strategy and securing the efficient execution of our 4PL services by proactively managing the agreed KPIs.
Responsible for leading the efficient movement of goods and information across the supply chain, ensuring proactive information flow across different parties and systems to deliver the highest standards of service and cost efficiency.
Main Accountabilities:
1. Responsible for ensuring the efficient integration between the customer's internal logistics processes and the distribution network, always considering the customer delivery requirements.
2. Manage daily deliveries for all modes of transport where we act as the 4PL partner, securing capacity booking with carriers and full end-to-end accountability of the delivery performance of the Inbound and Outbound flows in the Network.
3. Lead the implementation of continuous improvement practices across the logistics network and involved partners.
4. Identify, recommend, and support change opportunities for network activities. Manage the team's output and ensure alignment with overall strategy and business objectives.
5. Manage the implementation of a re-engineered network solution without affecting production and ensuring KPIs benefit from the implemented solution.
6. Ensure that operations are delivered according to associated ISO documentation, identifying and managing process changes.
7. Operational and team development responsibility over the team of Network Operators, ensuring balanced and efficient workload distribution, being the key contact for issue resolution in both operational and Human Resourcing matters.
8. Lead cost investigations / 8D requests related to the Route Management Process.
9. Work at customer facilities according to the customer on-site work policies.
Requirements for the Job:
1. Education: Logistics studies, Business Administration, or similar education. Postgraduate education in IT or Supply Chain will be considered a plus.
2. Strong communication/interface skills required.
3. A minimum of 3 years of experience in logistics.
4. A minimum of 2 years leading teams.
5. Knowledge of road, air, and sea transport operations.
6. Experience in implementing new logistics solutions for new customers will be considered a plus.
7. English language: fluent (verbal & written).
8. Spanish language: fluent (verbal & written).
