Job Description
The Order Taker cum Cashier is responsible for providing exceptional customer service. This role includes accurately taking orders, processing payments, and ensuring excellent customer service while upholding the principles of wellness and health-conscious living. Also, be able to answer customer questions and provide helpful advice. Additionally, you must be able to keep the restaurant clean and organized.
Key Responsibilities and Expectations:
Order Taking
* Greet guests warmly and professionally, reflecting the calm and inviting ambiance of the wellness environment.
* Accurately take food and beverage orders, ensuring all dietary preferences and restrictions are noted.
* Provide detailed menu descriptions, including wellness-oriented options, to assist guests in making informed choices.
* Confirm and repeat orders to ensure accuracy.
Cashiering & Payment Processing
* Process payments accurately through POS systems, handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods.
* Issue receipts and maintain a record of all transactions.
* Ensure end-of-shift reconciliation of cash and sales reports.
Guest Interaction
* Address guest inquiries about menu items, promotions, and wellness offerings.
* Resolve complaints or escalate issues to supervisors promptly and professionally.
* Promote additional wellness services or menu items where appropriate.
Hygiene and Cleanliness
* Maintain cleanliness of the cashiering and order-taking areas, adhering to hygiene protocols.
* Ensure proper handling of food and beverages in alignment with wellness and health standards.
Administrative Support:
* Assist in monitoring inventory levels for front-of-house supplies such as menus, receipt rolls, and packaging.
* Support team coordination for smooth workflow between the service area and kitchen.
Compliance:
* Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including cash handling, safety, and wellness service standards.
* Stay updated on new menu items, promotions, and wellness initiatives.
Requirements
* Previous experience as a cashier or order taker in a similar role in hospitality or wellness establishments.
* Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Attention to detail for accurate order-taking and payment processing.
* Calm manner and professionalism, aligned with the wellness industry’s ethos.
* Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced yet serene environment.
* Basic mathematical and problem-solving skills.
* EU passport and/or authorization to work in Spain is required.
* Previous experience in the Balearic Islands and knowledge of local regulations will be valued.
