You will provide support to the wider business by ensuring that all purchasing activities align with corporate policies and procedures.
How you will make an impact
1. Responsible for purchase orders according to the requisitions from Operations and/or Project Management for logistic needs such as cranes, forklifts, services, etc., considering the corresponding coordination at site.
2. Responsible for all activities related to Heavy Lift Transports, from the offer to the final deliveries, with leadership, support, and guidance from the business.
3. Responsible for negotiating agreements with main suppliers and periodically renewing prices for General Cargo, contracting transport/logistics, and services.
4. Cooperate with logistics, giving support at General Cargo and Courier when necessary.
5. Tracking the shipments, transport from dispatch until delivery to the site, keeping regular communication with freight forwarders, Transport Companies, and factory.
6. Identifying and qualifying new suppliers in cooperation with Supplier Quality and Engineering specialists, giving support to the Qualification process.
7. Overseeing supplier performance (on-time delivery, quality, lead time) and resolving performance issues.
8. Ensure that all costs are aligned with the tariffs and agreements with suppliers.
Your Background
1. Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Logistics Management, or a related field in Supply Chain would be considered a plus.
2. More than 2 years of experience in Supply Chain, trade, transport, and logistics management, particularly in heavy lift operations.
3. Knowledge of transportation regulations, compliance standards, and logistics best practices.
4. Strong analytical skills with the ability to transform data into actionable insights, identify critical issues, and challenge assumptions effectively.
5. Strong communication, influencing, and collaboration skills for effectively managing diverse internal and external stakeholders.
6. Capable of managing and prioritizing multiple time-sensitive tasks in a dynamic environment.
7. A collaborative, customer and solutions-oriented approach.
8. Fluent in English and Spanish (written & spoken).
