HAWK is a state university in Lower Saxony with more than 6,000 students. The university has strong regional roots and excellent national and international networks. One reason for this is certainly its roots, which date back to the 19th century at the Holzminden site.
At the HAWK University of Applied Sciences Hildesheim / Holzminden / Göttingen, the following professorship for the Göttingen Health Campus is to be filled at the Faculty of Engineering and Health at the Göttingen location at the earliest possible date:
Professorship (W2) for the field of digitalization in healthcare with a focus on assistive technology
The Göttingen Health Campus, which is being realized in cooperation with the University Medical Center Göttingen (UMG), was initiated in order to rethink qualifications in the healthcare professions. The aim is to prepare future specialists in these fields for the future healthcare needs of the population. Above all, it is a question of advanced knowledge and the ability to work together with other professional groups on an interdisciplinary basis.
Responsibilities:
* Teaching courses in the field of digitization in the undergraduate Bachelor's degree course in Orthobionics and in a Master's degree course to be established.
* Involvement in teaching in the interprofessional mantle curriculum at the Göttingen Health Campus and in the core curriculum of the engineering degree courses.
* Collaboration in the development and expansion of the courses offered at the Göttingen Health Campus.
* Maintaining and expanding contacts with cooperating companies and further networking in the region and specialist discipline.
* Participation in the university's research activities, particularly within the framework of the existing cooperation with the University Medical Center Göttingen (UMG) and other institutions.
* Taking on tasks in academic self-administration.
Minimum Requirements:
* University degree, preferably in engineering.
* Minimum of five years of practical experience, with at least three years outside the university sector in the specialist area of the professorship.
* Pedagogical and didactic aptitude confirmed by practical experience, demonstrated by teaching experience in German, preferably in the field of digitization.
* Special aptitude for in-depth, independent academic work, evidenced by an above-average doctorate or corresponding achievements.
* Experience in the field of digital supply technology in orthopaedic technology or other areas of aid production and supply.
* Extensive, proven research and publication experience in the field of the professorship.
* Ability and willingness to offer English-language courses as part of the internationalization of the university.
