We are looking for a highly experienced and committed Group Head of Supply Chain to plan, organize and lead all Supply Chain operations of Galenicum, and contribute to its growth and continuous improvement. You will lead a team of 9 direct reports and oversee a broader team of 60 indirect reports to ensure seamless flow of materials & products. The position will be based at our Sag Manufacturing Plant, located in San Agustín de Guadalix.
Roles and responsibilities:
Supply Chain Strategy & Leadership:
* Manage the following development functions/teams with highest quality standards:
* Sag Manufacturing plant: Warehouse management and Sourcing.
* Lead the development and execution of the supply chain strategy, aligning with the company’s overall business goals and objectives.
* Provide direction, leadership, and mentoring to the supply chain team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and collaboration.
* Drive cost optimization and process efficiencies while maintaining high service levels and compliance standards.
Operational Excellence:
* Oversee the planning, procurement, customer service, artwork, inventory management, production scheduling, and logistics functions to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
* Monitor and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery, inventory turnover, order fulfillment, and transportation costs.
* Develop and implement best practices to improve supply chain processes and reduce lead times.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
* Work closely with other departments, including production, quality assurance, regulatory, and commercial teams, to ensure alignment and timely execution of business plans.
* Lead supplier relationship management and negotiations to ensure reliable sourcing of raw materials and finished goods.
* Identify supply chain risks and implement proactive strategies to mitigate disruptions, including contingency planning for unforeseen events (e.g., natural disasters, regulatory changes, etc.).
* Ensure full compliance with all regulatory and quality standards relevant to the pharmaceutical industry (e.g., cGxP, GDP, etc.).
Team Development & Performance Management:
* Lead, motivate, and develop the supply chain team, ensuring appropriate skills and training are in place.
* Conduct performance reviews, provide ongoing coaching, and identify talent for future leadership roles within the organization.
* Create and sustain a company culture with the highest ethical & supply chain standards and teamwork to achieve Supply Chain objectives.
Budget & Financial Management:
* Develop and manage the supply chain budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources and cost control.
* Evaluate and approve capital expenditure for supply chain-related projects, ensuring ROI on investments.
* Champion the adoption of new technologies to optimize supply chain operations and enhance visibility across the entire supply chain.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Minimum 15 years of experience in supply chain management, and minimum 5 years in managing large and global Supply Chain teams.
* Understanding of international trade, customs and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical sector.
* Demonstrated success in implementing supply chain optimization strategies, cost reduction initiatives, and digital transformation projects.
* Expert in negotiating with suppliers and managing supplier relationships to ensure cost-effective and dependable sourcing.

Education:
* Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (required).
* Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Supply Chain Management, or related discipline will be a plus.
* Proficient level of English, spoken and written.
* Relevant Project & Supply Chain Management Certifications (e.g. Six Sigma, etc.) are highly desirable.
