Purpose of the Role: The Channel Merchandising Manager is responsible for maximizing the potential of the channels and strategic partners, ensuring a differentiated assortment aligned with the consumer/channel needs.
The successful candidate for this position has a strong knowledge of key accounts such as Luisa Via Roma, End, Kith, Footlocker, JD, Zalando, Sprinter, Forum, Courir, Intersport, El Corte Inglés, etc., in order to implement a product assortment that drives mutual profitability. The candidate needs to be organized, self-motivated, and accountable with an enthusiasm for getting things done. This role will work closely with Product Merchandising, Local Sales Managers, RGM, Trade Marketing, and DTC Merchandising Manager.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Deliver product assortment for the 9 channels that meets consumer needs and product/commercial targets.
2. Work together with the Local Sales team to provide in-depth product assortment for the top 10 accounts.
3. Collaborate with the DTC merchandising on the product assortment for different types of stores and ensure that key marketing initiatives are clearly communicated.
4. Manage product launches and key accounts presentations together with the Local Sales team to deliver a successful plan.
5. Perform pre-season selling analysis to identify risks, category trends, and strategic growth opportunities for mini catalogues and replenishment.
6. Regularly track product performance to deliver sales and insights reports by channel to implement together with the Sales team in-season action plans.
7. Partner with Product Merchandising on product briefings by sharing insights, sales results, and successful product cases by channel with the Global team.
8. Coordinate pre-line meetings with key accounts to share future product developments and gather insights to address to the innovation team.
9. Deliver the 1st product forecast by channel of the new collection for financial and demand study.
10. Build new product processes to improve internal and global communication.
Requirements:
1. University degree. Master's degree is a plus.
2. Portuguese knowledge is a plus.
3. Fluent in English (mandatory).
4. Proven experience (minimum 5 years) in merchandising and product manager experience in lifestyle brands.
5. Excellent analytical and hands-on skills.
6. Demonstrated proficiency in using Excel for data analysis and reporting.
7. Exceptional communication and negotiation abilities with high-profile stakeholders.
