Main focus is the negotiation for Spain Country of Business applications and IT service contracts applying T&C’s with latest provisions regarding Security, Data Privacy and Compliance.
The IT Buyer has the mandate for managing within his area of responsibility at global level the activities within the category “IT Procurement” for the Group subsidiaries. This also includes the respective category-internal supplier management. The Buyer conceptualizes, organizes, implements and steers sourcing activities. He/She develops partnership with internal customers across the company. The objective of the activities is to achieve the best possible conditions for the whole Company Group (optimal in the sense of quality, time to market and costs) and to ensure an optimal supplier base.
As a IT Buyer your main responsibilities will involve:
Performing tenders and conducting negotiations
Support Category manager in following cases:
Target achievement and fulfillment of existing reporting requirements.
Development of demand management plans together with the relevant internal stakeholders.
Continuous market intelligence / analysis to identify alternative suppliers, new developments and improved solutions, prediction of price developments as basis for improvement measures.
Identification of cost reduction and optimization levers for the defined sub-categories and active analysis of optimization levers in regard to demand volume and specifications.
Helps establish group wide transparency and segmentation of the IT spending.
Development and alignment of global category strategies for the defined sub-categories together with the relevant internal stakeholders, identification of preferred suppliers and engagement governance by sub-category.
Achievement of savings target as aligned with Procurement Delivery and the respective Category Manager.
Implementation of the category strategy within the defined area of responsibility
Active management of the main category-internal suppliers as well as their integration into demand and specification management processes, monitoring of supplier performance, gathering of customer feedback.
Project management activity to manage each stage of the contract life-cycle (negotiation, renewal, remediation, termination etc.) by effectively coordinating the engagement of stakeholders form other functions like: Compliance, IT Security and internal client’s representatives both from Business and IT functions.
Conclusion of contracts with main suppliers.
As a IT Buyer your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
+3 years of work experience with Purchasing in Information Technology
University level degree or comparable
Highly desired: Experience with procurement of Cloud services (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) SW Licenses and Maintenance, HW Products and maintenance, IT Services (Application development and maintenance, infrastructure services, operations, IT consultancy)
Problem-solving and analytical skillset
Communication skills and ability to manage a wide array of different stakeholders
Strong operational focus, ability to drive topics and deliver results
Ability to present results clearly and to the point
Ability to identify negotiation levels and execute negotiation strategy
Fluent English and Spanish, another European language is a plus
