What will you bring:
1. A degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field.
2. A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar role, with proven expertise in delivering data-driven technology solutions.
3. Demonstrated experience in data modeling, scalable ETL development, data lakes, and data warehousing.
4. Proficiency in working with relational databases, including design, manipulation, and query execution.
5. Strong programming skills with experience in languages such as Python, Java and familiarity with ETL tools like Prefect, Argo or similar orchestration tools.
6. Experience with BI and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Looker or Grafana).
7. A proven ability to quickly adapt to emerging technologies, concepts, and approaches.
8. Strong analytical skills, with excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
9. Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and cloud-native development is highly desirable.
10. Experience in implementing machine learning pipelines and working with big data technologies (e.g., Apache Spark, Hadoop).
11. Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines.
12. Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
What will you do?
1. Design, develop, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines to ensure robust and efficient data delivery to our product development teams.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect scalable, secure, and high-performance technology solutions that meet business needs.
3. Lead the creation and implementation of data collection, processing, and quality assurance frameworks, working closely with research and development teams.
4. Independently design and implement initiatives to enhance the performance and architecture of data workflows, ensuring data accessibility and fit-for-purpose availability to teams.
5. Develop and maintain automated data quality checks, metrics, and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) workflows.
6. Take ownership and share responsibility for the implementation, dissemination, and adherence to industry-standard Data Engineering methodologies, processes, and principles.
7. Support strategic initiatives related to data management and governance as part of the data roadmap.
8. Provide comprehensive documentation and guidelines throughout the delivery cycle.
9. Communicate technology deliverables effectively in both technical terms and plain English, with a focus on R&D.
