Details of the role and how it fits into the team
The Trade Operations team is responsible for handling all trade products including Bank guarantees, within the Operations Team in Spain. The team is responsible for the accurate and timely processing of all types of guarantees. This includes the processing of time-critical, complex transactions on behalf of the Bank's internal and external clients. The team undertakes the complete and accurate capturing of Domestic and International Bank Guarantees. The team focuses on ensuring that procedures are properly executed to reduce processing risk and identify potential areas for process improvement, whether internally within the Bank or for our clients.
Responsibilities
* Handle the day-to-day processing of Bank Guarantees, to meet agreed customer service level agreements and review outstanding transactions.
* Manage and ensure compliance (SOP, Ops manual, etc.) with internal policies and audit and regulatory requirements.
* Responsible for responding to ad-hoc issues or client queries on a timely basis, ensuring all communications have been responded to accurately.
* Actively support transformation and/or optimization initiatives to improve the efficiency/effectiveness of the process.
* Produce and manage MIS and control reports for processes and ensure EOD controls are adhered to daily.
Skills
* Excellent verbal & written communication along with a dynamic & confident approach.
* A collaborative team player who cultivates a strong sense of unity in a global environment, while possessing excellent relationship and stakeholder management skills.
* Experience in the Banking landscape.
* Must have a high level of English.
* A degree in Economics or Law would be suitable but not a must.
