Job Overview:
We are seeking a Senior Payroll Officer to oversee payroll operations in Spain, France, and Sweden. This role ensures compliance with payroll wage and hour laws.
This leadership position will work closely with country leaders and Corporate Payroll Leaders in the United States.
The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and organizational attributes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversight of payroll operations in France, Spain, and Sweden
* Ensuring payroll operations comply with legal regulations
* Support for operational and employee inquiries related to payroll
* Collection and preparation of accurate payroll inputs, including data on worked hours, overtime, deductions, and bonuses
* Development of processes and procedures with best practices
* Collaboration with HR, Finance, and Operations teams to establish aligned practices and processes
* Partnership with Payroll PEOs in each country for smooth payroll operations
* Review and verification of payroll accuracy from providers
* Management of tax and employee benefits payments
* Preparation and presentation of reports for management and finance departments
* Leadership and/or assistance in special projects and presentations
Requirements:
* 5 years of payroll leadership and supervision experience
* Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices
* Payroll certification(s) preferred
* Expert knowledge of wage and hour laws
* Proficiency in English, French, and Spanish
* Excellent customer service skills with a focus on accuracy and confidentiality
* Advanced proficiency in Excel and familiarity with payroll software; experience with Oracle is a plus
* High level of organizational ability and attention to detail
