Your role and responsibilities
As a Sales Representative (Digital) role (what we internally call a 'Digital Sales Specialist') you will be developing trusted relationships, working with clients and colleagues to shape the future of their technology landscape, advising and supporting client engagements throughout the critically important early phases of the sales cycle. As we help you combine your technical education with consultative sales best practices, you will accelerate enterprises' success by providing award-winning solutions across Data & AI, Cloud, Sustainability, Automation, and many more.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Solution-Selling: Learn and employ solution-selling techniques to identify and engage decision makers and influencers, qualify business opportunities, and respond to clients' needs.
2. Opportunity Identification: Assist your team in identifying up/cross-sell opportunities within your defined client & partner territory.
3. Collaborative Campaigns: Collaborate with IBM Marketing and Sales to develop new business campaigns.
4. Client and IBM partner relationship management: Manage a dedicated client set and define, confirm and communicate the differentiated value of IBM's technology at both the technical and business level. Responsible for managing IBM partner relationships, ensuring mutual growth and business objectives alignment.
5. Sales Process Management: Manage the entire sales process and ensure delivery against KPIs, with a strong emphasis on new business sales, while expanding existing accounts.
6. Collaboration with IBM Ecosystem: Collaborate with the broader IBM sales ecosystem, from Marketing to Sales and technical colleagues, to IBM Business Partners, in order to build sales campaigns and incremental pipeline.
Required education
Bachelor's Degree
Required technical and professional expertise
1. Technical Education: Completed technical degree such as Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
2. Communication and Language Skills: Possess excellent communication and presentation skills that are engaging, compelling, and influential. English & Spanish proficiency requested.
3. Analytical Skills: Focus on using data for decision-making and achieving positive business outcomes.
4. Team player: Collaborative spirit, able to work across multiple functions and levels within IBM and partners.
Preferred technical and professional experience
First experience with Sales and/or IT.
