Position: Project Manager
Location: Barcelona, Spain
We are looking for a technical Architect, Architect or Civil Engineer with experience in construction management and a strong interest in developing into a Project Manager role. The candidate should be eager to actively participate in a diverse range of projects, from small improvements to large-scale civil/industrial constructions.
Responsibilities:
Project management responsibilities may include multiple phases and areas of specialization:
1. Project feasibility.
The role of the Project Engineer is to deliver to the client the more than satisfactory quality of the services within the budget and planning defined.
As a Project Engineer you will:
1. Have the responsibility of all phases of the project: from consulting to the full project management of a civil project.
2. Experience in planning, budget control, quality assessment, cost estimating, permitting, project visas, procurement.
3. Define, control and mitigate project risks to ensure adherence to key project milestones.
4. Examine the project in depth to plan deliverables and estimate costs.
5. Review the planning of all the different contractors and manage the complete and adapted planning of the site.
6. Supervise all on-site and off-site work on the project, ensuring compliance with building and safety regulations.
7. Feel comfortable taking tasks that require various skills and prioritizing task completion.
Who are you?
1. BS or master's degree in civil engineering, technical architecture, architecture or related field.
2. 3 to 6 years of relevant experience in Real Estate consulting / EPC company in different areas: housing, logistics, industrial, retail, etc.
3. Motivated to transition from a construction site environment to an office setting with a focus on project leadership.
4. Experience with client relationships.
5. Fluency in English and Spanish is a must, and French or German is an asset.
6. Driver License B.
7. Knowledge in PC-literate MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, AutoCAD.
8. Knowledge in Presto or TCQ.
9. Skills: Excellent organizational, supervising, team leadership, communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.
10. Leadership, proactive, creative, high flexibility while working, team working.
11. Full on-site in Barcelona office – National and international mobility depending on the project.
12. Valuable experience in BIM at the level of coordinator and quality supervision. Revit is not needed.
13. Sustainability knowledge in any certification like BREEAM, LEED or PASSIVE HOUSE is a plus.
