We are looking for a Key Account Manager, based in Sevilla (Andalucía).
Position Overview : We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Key Account Manager to manage top accounts in the Andalucía area, one of the most important areas at the national level. The successful candidate will ensure that all strategic plans are implemented to deliver sales, profitability, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
Key Responsibilities:
* Account Management: Manage top accounts in the Andalucía area, ensuring the implementation of plans to deliver sales and profitability targets.
* 5Ps Strategy: Tailor and deploy the 5Ps (Product, Price, Place, Promotion, and People) by channel and customer type, including supermarket chains, wholesalers, and Cash & Carry accounts.
* Promotion Execution: Understand and manage the execution of promotions and conditions for buying groups such as IFA and EMD.
* Strategic Planning: Implement long-term strategic plans for each customer to identify trends and opportunities, gaining a competitive advantage.
* Demand Planning Support: Provide inputs on customer perspectives and promotional calendars to support accurate demand forecasting.
* Efficient Product Distribution: Ensure Colgate’s products are efficiently distributed to stores, off shelves, and into consumers' homes more effectively than competitors.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Achievement of sales, volume and SOM targets through excellence in 5P plan execution.
* Deliver sales targets within investment guidelines, aligned with the channel strategy.
* Develop and implement customer plans to achieve financial and 5P objectives along with all the Retain Execution Department (trade marketing) guidelines.
* Conduct annual negotiations and tariff implementations, ensuring successful outcomes in terms of pricing and compliance with contractual terms.
* Ensure IFA/EMD promo plans are properly implemented, leveraging the investment to get the best sales return.
* Actively participate in the Customer Business Planning (ATLAS) process to review plans, measure demand forecast accuracy, and identify risks/opportunities.
* Complete promotional analyses with the business development manager to identify optimal promotion vehicles to achieve brand strategy.
* Maintain in-depth knowledge of customers, categories, shoppers, and competition.
* Develop strong relationships across customer organizations (e.g., RE Manager, Category Management, Implementation Group, and Customer Development Managers).
* Conduct frequent store visits to identify opportunities to drive brand/category sales.
* Utilize category management tools and shopper insights to develop customer recommendations and presentations.
* Identify opportunities and develop recommendations to drive category/brand growth through alignment of 5P RE strategies using category management principles, consumer/shopper data, and strategic thinking.
Knowledge and Skill:
* Minimum of 4+ years of proven experience managing various customer types including supermarkets, wholesalers, and retailers.
* Solid customer negotiation skills, with a proven track record of successfully closing annual contracts and implementing tariffs.
* Results-oriented with good trade understanding and relationships.
* Strong consumer/shopper understanding and the ability to translate insights into actionable strategies.
* Excellent strategic skills, with the ability to customize Retail Environment Strategies to align with customer strategies.
* Understanding of financial and supply chain implications.
* Excellent relationship-building skills with both external buyers and internal team members.
* Advocate for continuous improvement and a willingness to challenge the status quo.
* Proven ability to analyze opportunities and issues, draw conclusions, and develop actionable recommendations.
* Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to develop and deliver logical presentations in both Spanish and English language.
* Proficiency in G Suite (Gmail, Meets, Sheets, Slides) and Microsoft Office.
* Travel required: 50% within Andalucía.
