Value Management Office Manager
Job Description Summary
The Value Management Office Manager is a crucial role in supporting the Value Management Office Lead to ensure the execution and value delivery for Lead-to-Cash, a strategic transformation program for Amadeus. The Value Management Office Manager will provide operational project management support and reference advice to line management and/or project leaders working closely with all the program stream leaders and their teams. It involves program reporting, action follow-up, risk management, ceremony preparations, and presentation building for key stakeholders and ceremonies. The ideal candidate must master program management techniques, be trained in Agile methodology, and have proficiency in JIRA and Confluence tools.
What You’ll Do
Common Accountabilities:
* Demonstrates proficiency in technical knowledge to ensure the program team performs at a high level and deliver value, and progress according to plan.
* Understands how main business drivers impact their area. Can assess complex problems with broad impact on activities, improve processes, recommend solutions, and develop risk mitigation plans. Able to communicate complex information effectively.
* Works with a high level of autonomy based on management directions. May contribute to planning resources and budget.
* Demonstrate a strong track record of delivering successful projects and achieving desired outcomes.
Specific Accountabilities:
* Program Reporting: Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports on program performance, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals and delivery of value against the business case committed with Excom. Coordinates the production of all reports and produces project summary reports at the organization or project level.
* Action Follow-Up: Track and follow up on actions to ensure timely completion and alignment with program objectives.
* Risk Management: Identify, manage, and mitigate risks throughout the program lifecycle. Uses structured logic and methods to solve problems. Proposes effective solutions based on own/team's ideas and feedback.
* Ceremony Preparations: Coordinate and prepare for ceremonies, including portfolio governance and Lean budgeting.
* Presentation Building: Develop and in some cases deliver presentations for key stakeholders and ceremonies, ensuring clear communication of program progress and strategic recommendations.
* Planning: Creates project or sub-project plans and monitors progress against schedules. Manages capacity planning.
* Methodology Adoption: Ensure program members adopt the program agile methodology and tools, supporting members where relevant.
* Documentation: Develops and maintains the project library, filing, recording, and reporting systems.
* Communication: Develops and supports effective communication mechanisms among project teams. Effectively supports key program stakeholders, maintaining clear communication and managing expectations.
* Representation: Acts on behalf of the Value Management Office Lead when relevant.
* Change Management: Provides reference knowledge in areas such as planning, cost control and analysis, quality assurance, risk management, and project communication. Foster an environment of innovation and lead change initiatives to improve program management processes and outcomes where relevant.
* Value: Prioritize customer needs and ensure that projects deliver value to both the business and its customers.
About You
Minimum Experience:
* At least 7-10 years of experience in project management or a related field.
* Strong understanding of business operations and strategic thinking.
* Strong communication skills and ability to interact with multiple stakeholders at all levels.
* Excellent leadership skills and the ability to drive change and innovation.
* Experience with Agile methodology and proficiency in JIRA and Confluence tools.
