We seek to fill a full-time, permanent position in EMEA, based in Montijo, Setúbal, Portugal.
Job Purpose:
The Customer Insurance Advisor supports Business Units by providing guidance on insurance products and addressing coverage and pricing inquiries. This role involves managing daily administrative tasks related to customer insurance, ensuring efficient operations and accurate records. Additionally, the advisor assists in driving sales growth and meeting objectives set by the Customer Insurance Manager, in line with Group policies.
Your tasks:
* Embrace the DHL culture of respect and results, fostering professionalism, integrity, and teamwork to promote positive IRM service to customers.
* Act as a proactive member of the DHL / GBS Global Insurance & Risk Management (IRM) team, collaborating with colleagues to meet business objectives and maintain high performance standards.
* Develop and maintain a strong understanding of the business and customer challenges to enhance customer insurance service delivery.
* Communicate regularly with customers, addressing ad-hoc queries related to coverage, documentation, invoicing, and more.
* Ensure accurate records of all annual insurances and monitor the profitability of agreements.
* Provide technical support to local business partners to facilitate the customer insurance sales process.
* Manage the insurance referral process in coordination with the Customer Insurance Manager, ensuring timely and accurate responses to queries, and liaising with the London central team as needed.
* Build and maintain relationships with other functional groups and IRM service lines.
* Analyze day-to-day tasks to identify opportunities for improvement.
Your profile:
* 2+ years of experience in an administrative or support role, preferably in customer insurance, logistics, or related fields.
* Fluency in English, Spanish, and Portuguese is a must.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to provide actionable insights to support the customer insurance process.
* Excellent organizational, project management, and communication skills, with a proven ability to influence and provide effective feedback to stakeholders.
* Proficient in using presentation tools, Excel, and Power BI.
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred.
