Under the direction of the Supervisor and in compliance with QSR (Quality System Regulation) and safety requirements, performs necessary setups, repairs, preventive maintenance & operates manufacturing assigned equipment. Responsibilities include:
* Producing different sizes and types of products of high quality and pre-determined production outputs.
* Optimizing machine performance by observing operating conditions; replenishing raw materials and removing product that has cycled through the machine.
* Using initiatives to assure efficient machine operations and high-quality standards.
* Reading diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, and manufacturing specifications related to assigned equipment.
* Performing machine diagnosis (process problems), machine changeovers, machine setups, and inspecting and dispositioning the finished product.
* Executing or supporting Preventive Maintenance to the assigned equipment.
* Generating and supporting SOPs related to the equipment and operations.
Proper use of all personal protective equipment, if required, to safely perform the job as necessary. Follow current compliance regulations and standards. Follows all company policies and programs with special emphasis on Safety and QSR.
Qualifications:
* Associates Degree in Electronic Technology, Electronics, Industrial Mechanics or related technical field and 2 years of experience in a regulated industry required; or Bachelor’s Degree in Electronic Technology, Electronics, Industrial Mechanics or related technical field.
* Strong electrical, electronic, pneumatic, and hydraulic knowledge and troubleshooting skills preferred.
* Basic knowledge in HMI, PLC, Vision Systems, Motion and Safety Controllers is preferred.
* Ability to read schematics is preferred.
* Experience in an automated industrial environment preferred.
* Bilingual (Spanish & English) required.
* Basic computer management skills required.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal relation skills preferred.
* Must be able to work under a high-speed environment achieving consistently high results through individual and team effort is required.
* Availability to travel domestic and/or international.
* Availability to work overtime, various work schedules, which may include 1st, 2nd, 3rd shifts and/or 12-hour daily shifts, including weekends and holidays.
