Job Title: Procurement Director – EPC/FIDIC Projects

Reports to: General Manager / VP of Operations
Position Objective: Lead and manage the Procurement department to ensure the efficient and strategic acquisition of goods, materials, and critical services for the execution of EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) projects under FIDIC contracts in the energy, oil, and gas sectors. Ensure cost, schedule, and quality optimization, aligning procurement operations with corporate objectives and international contractual requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Strategy and Leadership: Define and implement the global procurement strategy, aligned with company objectives and the requirements of FIDIC international projects. Lead and develop a team of procurement, contracting, and logistics professionals, ensuring maximum performance and promoting continuous improvement.
2. Comprehensive Procurement Management: Oversee planning and execution of equipment, materials, and key service acquisitions for EPC/FIDIC projects. Negotiate strategic contracts with global suppliers to secure optimal terms regarding cost, quality, and timelines. Ensure critical supplier management and continuously evaluate performance.
3. Risk Management and Compliance: Identify and mitigate risks associated with the supply chain, ensuring compliance with FIDIC contracts and international regulations. Ensure procurement traceability and transparency across all processes.
4. Cost and Schedule Optimization: Implement strategies to reduce costs without compromising quality or project safety. Coordinate closely with engineering, construction, and planning teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
5. Innovation and Digital Transformation: Drive procurement process digitalization through advanced technologies (ERP, AI applications, data analytics, integrated management systems). Promote sustainable and responsible supply chain practices aligned with ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) objectives.
Professional Profile (M/F/D):
Education: Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related fields. Master’s degree in Supply Chain Management, MBA, or specialized international procurement training is highly valued.
Experience: Minimum 15 years of experience in Procurement within EPC projects in the energy, oil, and gas sectors, with at least 5 years in leadership roles. Solid experience in international contracts and global suppliers. Proven experience in FIDIC contracts (Yellow, Silver, Red).
Advanced Knowledge: Expertise in global sourcing strategies and contract management under FIDIC. Knowledge of international regulations and industry standards (API, ASME, ISO). Advanced proficiency in procurement management tools (SAP, Oracle, Primavera P6, or other leading platforms).
Languages: Fluent English (C1 minimum). Other languages are a plus.
