Job Description - ART Test Lead (MER00032MH)
Description
Within the New IT HUB Sales - Retail of the Future supporting the strategic Mercedes Benz Program we need an ART Test Lead.
Retail of the Future is being operated under SAFe methodology and is composed of different ARTs.
Following the SAFe methodology, the EPICS to be implemented are defined at the Portfolio level. These EPICS will be split into one or more FEATURES to be implemented in the different ARTs.
The ART Test Lead/Manager role is responsible for coordinating the testing of the new features implementation at ART level and their integration within the rest of the program scope.
Description of role and responsibilities
* Define testing strategies and standards in alignment with the Test Management Office, and support the implementation on the ARTs by the Product testers.
* Continual alignment with the Products testing team to ensure the testing strategy is followed and the definition of done is fulfilled before deploying a functionality to the next environment.
* Continual alignment with the Product Manager, Product Owners, RTE, or Scrum Master to align priorities and identify possible risks.
* Define high-level test cases for the new features across the different products/ARTs.
* Identify and coordinate testing dependencies for the new features within the different products in the ART or across different ARTs.
* Close collaboration with other ART Test Leads to ensure the integration of the features.
* Coordinate testing activities at ART level and report test results, identify risks, ensure documentation and facilitate collaboration to fix testing issues.
* Get testing results sign-off from Product Owners and Product Manager.
* Close collaboration with the Test Automation team to integrate the new features into the standard End2End testing scenarios and automate as much as possible.
* Test data management in alignment with the Product Owners to facilitate test execution.
* Embrace Agile program management practices to align testing efforts with program goals and drive continuous improvement, emphasizing data-driven integration and data consistency within the program's environment.
Qualifications
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a STEM related field.
* 5 years of proven experience in test planning, execution, ensuring alignment with Program requirements under agile methodologies.
* Knowledge of program level testing practices and Agile program management to align testing efforts with program objectives.
* Successful collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Product Owners, developers, architects, and program management, to ensure test coverage and reliability.
* Diverse experiences with the software testing life cycle following a globally recognized testing methodology, including user acceptance tests, system tests, and system integration tests.
Communication, organizational, and collaborative skills are crucial for the development of the ART QA Lead Role.
* Relevant certifications, such as ISTQB (International Software Testing Qualifications Board) or AWS Certified Developer, are advantageous.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Knowledge of the German language is a plus.
Technical knowledge/Accountabilities
* Experience in program-level testing, test management, and test data management in large-scale software development programs.
* Know-how in event-driven architecture, as well as microservice architecture, especially in the context of test management.
* Extensive knowledge in software testing, continuous integration and continuous delivery frameworks, tools, and best practices.
* Knowledge of industry-standard tools for test management, as well as proficiency in software agile testing methodologies, SAFe, or Scrum.
* Maintain effective communication with all stakeholders, including customers and suppliers, to understand and address their needs and expectations.
