Job Title: Sommelier
At the Hotel Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid, we are seeking a skilled Sommelier to deliver exceptional service and exceed guest expectations.

The Hotel
Our hotel features 100 rooms and 53 suites, designed by Parisian designers Gilles & Boissier. The hotel boasts stunning restoration, five restaurants and bars overseen by a celebrated Spanish chef, and exceptional leisure and wellness facilities.
Responsibilities
* Understand the outlet's concept and food and beverage offerings, explaining them verbally to guests.
* Ensure mise en place is completed shift to shift and during service for efficient service.
* Operate the point of sales system to process food and beverage orders.
* Upsell services and products to guests, enhancing service and generating revenue.
* Perform tasks related to billing according to hotel standards and cashiering policies.
* Conserve equipment and utensils in good condition.
* Assist with picking up required stocks and arranging them accordingly.
* Create WOW moments to surprise and delight guests in the Restaurants through gestures and other actions.
* Taking reservations accurately, greeting and seating guests, handling special requests, bidding farewell, and anticipating guests' needs.
Requirements:
* Degree or Higher National Diploma in Hospitality/Hotel/Business Management preferred.
* Experience as server in high-volume restaurant with highest levels of service preferred.
* Minimum 1 year of experience working as server in Michelin Star restaurant or Five Star Hotel.
* Ability to understand guest needs and deliver superior customer service.
