We're searching for a Chief Operating Officer (COO) managing around 50 people who has strong leadership skills and the ability to approach business with a creative point of view. The COO will manage our Operations, Project Management Office, Organization & Process and Incident Management teams, support Sales with high-performing professionals to be efficient, productive, and effective, and will report directly to the Iberia General Manager.
What you’ll do:
* Design/build/implement the operations strategy, formalize the engagement model, set up robust processes/procedures, create manuals and define the roadmap that integrates people and technologies and orchestrates substantial improvements, efficiencies and best in class.
* Manage capital investments and expenses aggressively to ensure that the company achieves financial targets for growth and profitability.
* Monitor performance of business projects with tracking tools and/or PMO dashboards, requiring corrective measures when necessary, and prepare detailed updates and forecasts.
* Manage/Lead cross-functional teams/resources to redesign/improve/automate significant aspects of Operations and Business Care and to create a continuous improvement cycle for clients and consumers.
* Responsible for integrating key initiatives, change and project management and other capabilities through team coordination and executive communication to achieve faster/better results.
* Build and maintain trusting relationships with key customers, clients, partners, and stakeholders.
* Collaborate with sales and product marketing to drive innovation, enablement and revenue opportunities.
* Provide operational leadership and is accountable for the performance and results of multiple related teams ensuring operations/services are scalable, efficient and well controlled.
* Engage directly with customers during discovery sessions, account reviews, sales meetings or other opportunities to assist with solution optimization and strategy setting.
* Optimize business processes and leverage economic resources for each project and process, minimizing resource utilization while maximizing operational results and avoiding performance losses.
* Automate operational activities, workflows, and dynamic communications whenever possible.
* Analyze common solutions to streamline client delivery, providing specific tools and documentation for repetitive tasks along with relevant training (e.g., audit tools, monitoring systems, FinOps, process mapping, review checklists, etc.).
* Establish mechanisms to identify and ensure compliance with deliverable SLAs in terms of timeliness and quality, and manage operational incidents when needed.
* Ensure effective recruiting, onboarding, professional development, performance management, and retention across all teams below the COO scope.
What experience you need:
* A Bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in engineering. A Ph.D. is a plus.
* Five or more years of experience in executive leadership roles.
* Seasoned leader with excellent communication and team-building skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity and the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams.
* Understanding of advanced business planning and regulatory issues.
* Solid background in project management.
* Solid grasp of data analysis and performance metrics.
* Ability to diagnose problems quickly and foresee potential issues.
* Fluency in English and Spanish.
