Atradius provides Trade Credit Insurance, Bonding, and Collections services worldwide, with a strategic presence in over 50 countries. Our credit insurance, bonding, and collections products help protect companies from payment risks associated with selling goods and services on trade credit. Unit / Team
The Information Technology Services (ITS) division is responsible for providing IT solutions across the Atradius Group. Within ITS, the Finance Compliance Unit is responsible for maintaining and continuously enhancing Atradius Group’s finance and risk applications such as Solvency II and IFRS 17. The applications are employing a wide spectrum of technologies / languages such as R, Scala, SQL, Spark, Kubernetes, Jenkins and others to address diverse problems some of which are addressed on cloud and some others on on-prem solutions.
We are seeking a Senior Developer to join our team and work closely with quantitative developers in the Finance and Risk departments. The role involves taking over developed solutions from these departments, refactoring them into efficient, simplified, production-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Refactor code provided by Finance and Risk colleagues into production-quality solutions, ensuring scalability and performance.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve code performance and resource efficiency.
Job Requirements
* Strong programming skills with experience in delivering production-quality code in multiple programming languages.
* Proficiency in Python, Spark, and SQL is required. Knowledge of R, Databricks, C++, Bash, and Scala is a plus.
* Understanding of containerization concepts (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.
* Expertise in developing well-tested software using standard development practices and lifecycle methodologies.
* Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and CI / CD pipelines is desired.
* Knowledge of code review processes and quality assurance practices is highly valued.
* Experience working with large datasets on distributed clusters is essential.
* Experience with Microsoft Azure Tech Stack and Jenkins is a plus.
* Strong mathematical foundation to understand the algorithms and objectives behind code developed by Finance and Risk colleagues.
* Experience with Solvency II or IFRS 17 is a plus.
* Proven ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
* Initiative and self-reliance, with a proactive attitude towards problem-solving.
* Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Spanish is desired.
* Willingness to travel approximately 10%.
