Your main responsibilities will be:
1. Drive the development and delivery of Services, prioritizing quality code, feature scope, and timely delivery.
2. Write efficient, maintainable code that balances quality with speed to market.
3. Proactively provide pragmatic technical solutions that align with business objectives and delivery timelines.
4. Facilitate knowledge sharing by providing clear and actionable feedback during code reviews.
5. Ensure software quality through testing and best practices.
6. Collaborate closely within a cross-functional team and stakeholders to ensure alignment and swift execution of tasks.
7. Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to supplement our perpetual quest for betterment.
8. Support ongoing maintenance and enhancement efforts to ensure stable and efficient operation of software systems.
Required Skills:
1. Strong proficiency in Java.
2. Solid experience with Spring and Spring Boot for building scalable, maintainable applications.
3. Hands-on experience in developing RESTful web services and API specifications, e.g. using Swagger.
4. Familiarity with Microservices architecture and related patterns.
5. Experience with relational databases (e.g., Postgres) and migration tools like Flyway or Liquibase.
6. Strong understanding of automated testing frameworks (e.g., JUnit, Mockito, Selenide) and performance testing tools (Gatling).
Preferred Skills:
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
2. Expertise in Java (Spring, Spring Boot) and microservices architecture.
3. Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and an interest in the banking and asset management industry.
4. Fluent in English (B2 level or higher).
5. Team player: ability to work with teams distributed geographically in different locations.
6. Solid analytical and problem-solving skills/investigating skills on technical matters.
7. Well organized.
8. Good time management and prioritization of tasks.
9. Ability to identify problems and suggest mitigating and contingency actions.
10. Proactive, motivated and willing to learn and develop oneself.
